Frequently asked questions
Do you book flights or stopovers?+
No. Stopover Hangar is an independent editorial guide. We do not sell tickets, accommodation or tours, and we cannot change airline reservations.
How long do I need to leave the airport?+
It depends on the hub, immigration, transport and your airline's deadlines. Many city visits need 6-8 hours or more. Each hub guide gives a suggested minimum, and our planning article explains the maths.
Will my checked bag follow me?+
On a single ticket it is usually checked through, but not always. Confirm with your airline at check-in, especially on separate tickets or self-transfers.
Do I need a visa to leave the airport?+
Possibly. Requirements depend on your nationality, documents and itinerary. Rules change - always check the official government or embassy website before you travel.
Are your guides updated?+
We review guides periodically and mark updated ones on the departures board. Spot something out of date? Tell us via the contact page.
